Project Summary

Hank Crisp Strength and Conditioning Facility is an addition to the existing Indoor Practice Facility located at the University of Alabama on Bryant Drive in Tuscaloosa, AL. This was the construction of a new weight training facility for the athletic department. The aluminum storefront and entrances were provided by Kawneer. The storefront framing for this facility consisted of 3 bays expanding 2 floors high and separated by steel that has been wrapped with matching aluminum. These storefront frames extend across 3 sides of the facility, allowing ample natural light flow. The glass for this project was a high performance glazing, providing an energy efficient workout area for the athletes. In addition the glass was all safety laminated to provide protection against impelling objects. The interior sliding glass doors were custom sandblasted with the college logo to provide a more spirited workout area. This project was completed within schedule and within budget. Much appreciation is due to all involved.
