Project Summary

Entergy Transmission Headquarters is a newly constructed office building located in Jackson, MS. This building has a very clean, sharp image to it with its long runs of curtain wall and glass. The front entry is a structural glass wall that is not the standard straight wall. This glass wall, fit together with spider fittings, turns and bends across the front of the building, making for a unique entry as well as an awesome view from the lobby. There are all glass doors fitted into this glass wall with handles that run the entire height of the doors. The upper 2 floors of this building are long stretches of aluminum curtain wall with green vision and spandrel insulated glass units. Between the second and third floors, there are custom sunscreens attached to the curtain wall with brackets that fasten back to the curtain wall below it. This sunscreen was only available from 2 manufacturers, and custom built specifically for this building. These sunscreens provide energy efficiency by blocking any direct sunlight from coming into the offices in these areas. The Owner, Architect, General Contractor, and Sub-contractors worked closely to complete this project on time and in budget.
